Synopsis

Yes, Batman VS TMNT is a real thing ... and it was pure nostalgic bliss!
"Whoever you are, you better back the hell away from my brothers!"
I hear more and more about how people like to dismiss fan service in movies, which I don't get because I think those are some of the best parts, and this movie is 100% fan service. Not only does it bring together the heroes of my two favorite childhood cartoon shows, but it also turns into a whose who of Gotham's most fun and notorious supervillains.

Batman saying "Cowabunga!" in this means that, after 22 years, we've finally come full circle to that one time Joel Schumacher made Chris O'Donnell put on rubber nipples and scream, "Cowabunga!" while skating down the side of a building in Batman & Robin.

This is a time when I sit back and look at how I’m going about building myself as a critic. I always preach against letting nostalgia getting the best of you, but by gosh; if this movie didn’t throw me back to my childhood in the best way possible. It takes the elements of what we love from the crossover comic, the old Turtles show and even Batman: The Animated Series. It takes the aesthetic from the latter; with brand new character designs and combines the two worlds. The plot itself isn’t the best and the third act gets completely ridiculous. This movie did something almost impossible for crossovers to do.
It held all parties involved with respect and dignity.
This movie could have fallen easily into what many Batman stories do "Batman is the best and has to kick everyone's ass." But nope. he was shown as skilled and competent, but lost his first fight to shredder and used the help of the TMNT.
I found it an enjoyable watch
