I was looking for a barber I could go to over summer since I had an internship in the area and Hair Unik did not disappoint. The first time I went I had a nice conversation with someone who was Vietnamese. All the staff are super friendly, easy to talk to, and are great at cutting hair. I went again recently and got my hair cut by someone else and was super satisfied with the results, possibly the best haircut I've gotten in a while.

I brought my (identical twin) 6 y.o. girls to a walk in appt today to give this place a try. They had Mimi and Le and both did an excellent job! Both girls had long, thick, straight hair. One went for a longer style with some longer layers and face frame. The other went for a shoulder length bob cut. I was so impressed with the quality of both of the haircuts. FAR better than what you get at the specialty kids cut places. Everyone in the salon was friendly and kind. And the price was excellent! We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place.

Omg! What a hidden gem hair salon in Annandale! My stylist was Trisha and as you can see in the picture, my hair looks fabulous!!! I haven't dyed my hair in years and I was hesitant on doing it but I'm so glad I did. I showed Trisha a myriad of photos and told her what I liked about each one. She listened and DELIVERED. It was surprisingly more affordable then I thought. Can't wait to go back for my next hair appointment.

Worst haircut of my life. Went in with my beautiful long hair that I had been growing out for over 2 years looking just to get a trim for my split ends, at most 1 or 2 inches off. I walked out bawling with shoulder length hair, as they chopped off over 5-6 inches of my hair without warning, and cut off all the layers I had, making it a straight cut. I was very explicit about what I wanted, and that was ignored. my confidence was completely shot down by this haircut, and it will take me years to grow my hair back to what it was!
