TLDR: Hanna is excellent, professional, and makes me love my hair. 3 haunting words: quarantine self cut. That's right. Like many of you, I cut my own hair during quarantine. Not just any cut (I've been trimming my freakishly long hair for years), I saw Monique Samuels on RHOP with a cute bob and decided that was the hair for me. With newfound conviction that I was a professional hair dresser, I lopped off 6 inches. What? Yes. Confidence. When I found that it was not to my liking, instead of going to an actual professional, I went back in to give myself layers and BANGS. What is wrong with me? Anywho, fast forward a year, my hair had grown out but was long in places it shouldn't be long and short in places I didn't want it to be short. Upon recommendations, I made an appointment with Hanna. 1.) she's worth every penny. My hair is deceptively thick and needs a high quality (no Supercuts here) hairdresser to strategically tame it and also make it manageable for me. She is excellent at what she does 2.) she's professional 3.) she's in demand- I had to make an appointment 2.5 months in advance and it was all she had. Go and fall in love with your hair! You'll feel pretty :)

I came to Hanna because, after two babies, my already fine hair was now so thin and recently damaged from highlighting I literally had no idea what to do with it. I used to have lusciously full curls but even/especially those were failing me so I had to figure something out! My sister-in-law encouraged me to find someone who was good at what I needed so I searched Yelp and the reviews were amazing for Hanna on thin, fine, curly hair! Also, I'd never gotten a deva cut before but it said she could do that too so I had to check her out. Well, I'm here to say the reviews are true, she's as amazing and personal and professional as everyone says! I started with a consultation and she helped me to learn about what was going on with my hair and how different products/routines would effect it long term. She recommended some bond building products and a hair routine that would stop the damage and get MY HAIR back on the path to hair health! We met 6 week later for her to examine my progress and (my favorite part!) fix my highlights and give me a deva cut. And I LOVE IT!!!! The highlights are gorgeous and natural with no brass! The cut is super cute and works with my curls to really help them shine! For the first time in a LONG time I feel like me and my hair are friends again! I told Hanna that she is now my personal hair therapist! she is a problem solver, personalized my new routine and has helped me to get my hair AND curls back! Best part is, I feel like we've only just begun. I'm excited to continue with her and see what we can accomplish together for my new post-baby hair life!

If you will be a NEW client like me, let me save you some time because Ms Hanna asked me to reach out by the end of the summer to see if she is able to take new clients. I gave her all stars not because I know how she works but because she answered my text really quick.So let's hope she can see me by August.

Echoing the sentiments of others let me start by saying, Hanna is wonderful at what she does! I followed the advice of a fellow curly haired friend and am so happy I did. Salon: Hanna is the first stylist I've come to that has a shop in one of those places where each rents their own private studio. I love the set up! It's genius, really. Hanna shares with one other stylist and has an assistant, Rosa (very sweet). Rapport: From my first call with Hanna to my first visit and the my second one a few months later I felt completely at ease and comfortable with her knowledge and skill. She asked all the right questions (a must with curly hair) and listened to my hair goals as well. Skill: As evidenced by her IG pictures as well as recommendations made by other curly girls, Hanna knows her stuff! She's a certified Deva stylist and knows just how to work with the Deva cut. She also did an awesome job of helping me understand product application so that I could replicate the look at home. Bottom line: Whether you're looking for a curly specialist or just a great cut and color, Hanna is your girl! You will not leave disappointed.

First, let me say how amazingly talented Hanna is! Not only is she fun, sweet and talented, she is nice and doesn't make any awkward situations (which we all know how that can go with a stylist). Plus I love that Hanna was straight up real with me... "Girl, stop dying your hair from the box at home" or "I can't go too blond the first time or you just won't look right". I love this kind of honesty since I hate always feelings like my expectations were relayed when the final product isn't what i envisioned. Her truthfulness lets me k ow that we are on the same page and she understood what I was going for. I went back to her 2 months later for the blond I really wanted. It is PERFECT (see pics). I didn't take a proper selfie but you can see half of it. And I trust her so much that I asked for sweetly bangs which frame my face perfectly and also allows me to sweep them to the side if I don't want to deal with them. I love Hanna and I love Hair by Hanna!
