Lighthouse Immersive Studios, the Creators of Immersive Van Gogh, and Walt Disney Animation Studios to Bring New Immersive Experience to the Twin Cities!

Creating iconic animated stories for all ages for nearly a century, Walt Disney Animation Studios joined forces with North America’s top creator of experiential projection exhibitions to present the music and artistry within Disney Animation’s canon of films—from hits of today like Encanto,Zootopia, and Frozen, to all of the classics includingThe Lion King,Peter Pan, and Pinocchio. Audiences will feel like they’ve entered the incredible worlds of beloved Disney characters and become one with them.

Our recent visit to see Immersive Disney Animation at Lighthouse ArtSpace in Northeast Minneapolis was a ton of fun for everyone. The lobby is full of history and images of Disney’s past and present. You get to explore what an animators desk looks like and take photos with the kids.

Once inside the experience your first stop is a bit of museum like. You can see casts of characters, test your skills at sketching your favorite characters and learn more about the history of Disney animation.

Your third stop is the full immersive room, you can sit back and watch the screens that surround you come to life with all your favorite Disney movies. The lights on the carpet moe with you, when the Little Mermaid starts playing the bubbles come out and kids are in awe of this experience.

The audience experience will be further enhanced by Lighthouse Immersive’s Global Creative DirectorDavid Korins, (Tony Award® nominee whose credits include more than 20 Broadway shows includingHamilton, and an Emmy Award® winner forGrease Live). Korins will develop never-before-seen interactive lobby elements that guests can enjoy before or after entering the gallery.
