Is Sonic Superstars better than Sonic 4? ›

Sonic Superstars offers new stages, obstacles, challenges, and gimmicks, avoiding the trap of relying too heavily on nostalgia and recycled content. While Sonic Superstars lacks online co-op and falls short in terms of some musical elements compared to Sonic 4, it still delivers enjoyable gameplay and fun songs.

Sonic Superstars is made up of 11 Zones that comprise 26 levels. Sonic will be exploring all sorts of terrains during his adventure, from green hills to sandy deserts to carnivals and even cyberspace. Every Zone is made up of either one or three levels.

When focusing on the main objectives, Sonic Superstars is about 5 Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 16 Hours to obtain 100% completion.

He is faster, more agile, and can jump higher. His enemies are easier to defeat and he never gets lost. Mario, on the other hand, is slow, plodding, and gets lost even in his own game. Sonic always seems to find the way out and win, while Mario always seems to fall short.

The Sonic Generations remaster is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in Autumn 2024.

Sonic Superstars has fantastic level design and physics. The bosses could be tweaked but overall a wonderful experience! Sonic Superstars is a game that will stand the test of time along with the other great 2D Sonic titles. Sonic Superstars is probably in my top 3 favorite Sonic games.

In Sonic Superstars there are 4 playable characters from the start including Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, and Tails. However, a 5th, Trip, can be unlocked. In Sonic Superstars, players are able to play several different characters while completing the main story, including Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, and even Trip.

Sonic Superstars has been getting post-launch DLC support after its initial October 2023 release, with players getting free DLC outfits for its playable characters. This newest costume for Sonic is based on Sonic x Shadow Generations, an upcoming Sonic game that will be released in fall 2024.

This explains how Sonic never shows any signs of aging and stays canonically 15, while other characters like Tails age, they don't go as fast as Sonic, so even though time slows down a little for them, they age faster than Sonic but slower than time actually passes.

It starts out tough, but there are some meaty unlockable challenges that can satiate even the most ravenous Sonic fan's appetite. Even if you don't love all of the game, as a fan you've probably played much worse, so pick this up whenever you're ready.

After collecting all the Chaos Emeralds and Super Emeralds in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, you can transform into Hyper Sonic. Enemies beware. This guy does not mess around. Hyper Sonic can fly faster than Super Sonic, if that's even possible.
